Silicon Graphics announced the following:
1. Indy, SGI's first under-$5,000 workstation--The R4000-based Indy
is aimed at bringing multimedia to the commercial desktop; includes
3D graphics and "IndyCam" camera.
2. Indigo2 XL entry-level addition to the Indigo2 line--The Indigo2
system, introduced 1/93, is based on 50-MHz version of R4000 MIPS
processor with new 64-bit bus and fast SCSI-II.
3. Indigo2 XZ midrange addition to the Indigo 2 line--This is an
entry-level workstation "not to exceed" $17,995 with 16-MB memory,
535-MB disk, 16-inch color monitor and DAT quality audio.
